Doctors of Optometry

Dr. Sabrina Hajo

Dr. Hajo was born and raised in Ottawa and is excited to begin her career in her
hometown. She studied Biomedical Sciences at the University of Ottawa, earning her
Bachelor of Science degree in 2018. She then graduated from the University of
Waterloo School of Optometry in 2022. During her studies, she completed externships
at clinics in Ottawa and Kitchener where she gained experience diagnosing and
managing ocular conditions and disease in patients of all ages.

Dr. Hajo is a member of the Ontario Association of Optometrists and the Ottawa Society
of Optometrists. Outside of the office, Dr. Hajo enjoys baking, reading, and learning
about different cultures through food and travel. She’s looking forward to caring for your
eyes!

Dr.Katherine Ebata

Dr. Ebata was born and raised in Ottawa, Ontario. After earning her bachelor’s degree
in Biomedical Science at the University of Ottawa, she went on to complete her Doctor
of Optometry at the University of Waterloo in 2022, graduating on the Dean’s Honour
List.

During her studies, Dr. Ebata completed externships in both Ottawa and rural
Saskatchewan. There, she managed patients with a variety of ocular diseases including
glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, and cataracts.

Dr. Ebata is currently a member of the Ontario Association of Optometrists and the
Ottawa Society of Optometrists. In her spare time, she enjoys taking fitness classes,
golfing, hiking, and spending time with friends and family. Dr. Ebata looks forward to
providing her patients with the utmost quality of care.

Dr. Ebata is bilingual and can provide services in both English and French.

Dr. Lindy Mackey

 

Dr. Mackey grew up in Kenora, Ontario and completed her Bachelor of Honours Science at the University of Waterloo. She continued her studies at the University of Waterloo’s School of Optometry where she graduated on the Dean’s Honour List.

During her studies, Dr. Mackey completed an externship at the Lexington Veteran Affairs Medical Centre in Kentucky focusing on the treatment and management of ocular disease including glaucoma, diabetes and macular degeneration. In 2016, she participated in a charitable eye care clinic in Moldova.

Dr. Mackey is currently a member of the Ontario Association of Optometrists and the Ottawa Society of Optometrists. Outside of clinic, Dr. Mackey enjoys traveling, art projects and spending time outdoors. She is excited to be starting her career in Kanata and looks forward to meeting you and your family.
